When you access Glass City Federal Credit Union’s website or utilize our online banking or mobile banking services, we and our business partners who help us deliver these services will have access to your personal information.

YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US!

We DO NOT sell any of your personal information to a third party for its own use. We will maintain any information provided, as well as your account transactions, according to our high security and confidentiality standards. Please be advised that we may disclose information on your accounts or information contained in member files, provided to the credit union through the website, to credit bureaus or agencies who have a legitimate purpose for obtaining information.

We may also disclose information obtained through our website or through email communications when it is necessary to complete the transaction, verify the status of your account or membership for an appropriate third party, such as a credit bureau, to comply with a court order, comply with the request of a government agency or regulatory body, or if we receive your permission to do so.

MOBILE BANKING PRIVACY POLICY

The Glass City FCU Mobile app and the Glass City Card Controls mobile app: periodically collects, transmits, and uses geolocation information for enabling features that prevent fraudulent card use and alerts, but only if the End User expressly authorizes collection of such information. Geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background only while the Solution is being used or not at all, depending on the End User’s selection. The End User can change his/her/their location permissions at any time in their device settings.

  • Show your driver’s license or use your credit or debit card

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for non-affiliates to market to you

DEFINITIONS

AFFILIATES: Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.

  • Our affiliates include Glass City Federal Credit Union and Area Financial Services Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO).

NON-AFFILIATES: Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.

  • Glass City Federal does not share with non-affiliates so they can market to you.

JOINT MARKETING: A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include investment, insurance, and other financial services companies.

SECURE TRANSMISSIONS

To ensure information remains confidential, Glass City FCU uses encryption technology such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to protect information you enter and submit from our website.

EMAIL SECURITY

Regular Internet email is not secure. You should never provide information that is sensitive or confidential such as your social security number, account number, or PIN through unsecured email. We ask that you do not send personal or account Information through regular email. Glass City FCU provides a method of sending a secure message to the credit union by using the “Send Message” feature in Home Banking or on the Glass City FCU Mobile App.

Cookies may contain a variety of information from a simple count of how often you visit a website to information which allows customization of a website for your use. Glass City FCU uses cookies to gather data about the usage of our website and to ensure that you have access to your account information.
